We have a final cover for HER LISBON COLORS. Squeeee!
This is a big moment in a book’s life. When I have been thinking about putting this book into the world, I often just have a feeling of colors. Bright, engaging colors.
So to see this feeling come to life on the cover is a big moment. I LOVE working with designers to help bring my ideas out of my head.
It’s hard to believe it happened so quickly. My book designers had a cover done within two weeks.
I love this cover! I shared it with a few friends, and everyone reacted similarly. It’s been so validating and exciting to see the book move out of my head and into form and to see people’s responses.
I’m going to share the cover, but before I do, I want to let you know that next week, I will be sharing more about the details of self-publishing a book. I have done this many times, and I know how to bring my project manager onto the job.
I also do this with my clients - helping them organize themselves so the tasks of writing and publishing a book are less daunting. I’m getting used to being the more organized person in the room. I have finally shed the ‘flaky creative’ identity many of us suffer from. Thank goodness! One of my gifts in this life is being able to take ideas and put them into form. I love doing this and helping my clients bring their bright ideas to life.
Okay…on to the cover. Are you ready for the reveal?
